> Cale Gale and the No. 33 Rheem Chasing the Cure team recorded a 10th-place finish in their pink and black Chevrolet at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway on Saturday afternoon. Gale narrowly avoided two on-track incidents, including 'the big one' on the final lap, to record his sixth top-10 finish of the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season.

After practicing in the top 15, Gale recorded the fifth-fastest qualifying lap to roll off inside the third row. The driver of the Rheem Chasing the Cure Chevrolet carefully worked the draft throughout the opening laps to maintain his position inside the top 10. With just 16 laps compete, the first caution flag was displayed and crews began working on their strategy. The Rheem Chasing the Cure Chevrolet team entered the race hoping to take just four tires throughout the 94 laps, and as a result made the call for a fuel-only stop. As planned, Gale's No. 33 Chevrolet was serviced with two left-side tires during the lap 33 caution period, and two right-side tires when the field slowed on lap 47.

Gale dove onto pit road on lap 61 as he narrowly escaped damage in a multi-truck incident in heavy traffic on the front stretch. Gale listened to the coaching of veteran spotter Rick Carelli to 'go low' and avoided contact as the truck racing beside Gale suffered heavy damage.

Racing further back in the pack, the Rheem Chasing the Cure team took advantage of several late cautions to top-off their fuel cell ensuring that they would be able to make it the distance. With plenty of fuel and just over 10 laps to go, Gale teamed up with his Eddie Sharp Racing teammate, Justin Lofton, to move to the front of the field during the closing laps.

Coming to the white flag, Gale was scored outside the top 15 but kept fighting for position as the field raced around the 2.66-mile superspeedway. Racing three-wide on the backstretch, 'the big one' happened as several trucks were turned making heavy contact. The incident began in front of the Rheem Chasing the Cure Chevrolet, but Gale listened carefully as Carelli guided him through the wreckage and across the finish line in the 10th position.

"Superspeedway racing is always a wildcard," commented Gale. "There were a couple big wrecks out there this afternoon, but fortunately we were able to keep our Rheem Chasing the Cure Chevrolet in one piece and come home with a strong finish. This weekend was a really special weekend for me--we kicked off Rheem's Chasing the Cure program and it was a home race where I had a lot of friends and family in the grandstands. I'm happy that we were able to get another top-10 finish. The Rheem Chasing the Cure Chevrolet team continues to improve every week, and we're looking forward to having more competitive races to finish out the season."

The handling of our truck is really comfortable, and it runs well in both the draft and solo runs. News and Notes

> Rheem Chasing the Cure... For the second year in a row, Rheem has launched Rheem Chasing the Cure-a month-long program benefitting the Young Survival Coalition (YSC). The YSC is an organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Rheem will orchestrate a multi-faceted program designed to raise funds for YSC while promoting breast cancer awareness. Fans are invited to share their stories illustrating personal victories over breast cancer by posting a video on the Rheem Racing Facebook page (Facebook.com/RheemRacing). The Rheem Chasing the Cure video contest, which runs through Oct. 21, will give one lucky fan the chance to win a Rheem Racing VIP experience for two during the 2013 NASCAR season.

Rheem Chevrolet goes pink and black for breast cancer awareness... The No. 33 Rheem Chasing the Cure Chevrolet driven by Cale Gale in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) will have a new look this weekend as it turns pink and black to promote breast cancer awareness. The Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) Silverado will highlight Rheem's Chasing the Cure program throughout the month of October including the Coca-Cola 250 presented by fred's at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and the Kroger 200 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

Sweet Home Alabama... Gale will return to his home state of Alabama to compete at the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday afternoon. Gale grew up just 250 miles south of the speedway in Mobile, Ala., and cut his teeth on short tracks across the state.

Taking on Talladega... Cale Gale will make his second career NCWTS start at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, Oct. 6. In his last NCWTS race at NASCAR's longest track, Gale's Chevrolet lost its side window and was black-flagged by NASCAR. Gale had to come down pit road for his team to replace the window, and in the process went three laps down. After rolling off 19th in the October 2007 event, Gale was scored with a 22nd-place finish. Additionally, Gale made on NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the 2.66-mile superspeedway where he qualified ninth and finished 22nd after being involved in an on-track incident.

Meet Cale Gale... Gale will join his ESR teammate Justin Lofton at the Chevy Stage at 1:45 p.m. CT on Friday afternoon. The duo will be available to answer fans' questions and sign autographs. Following the appearance, the ESR drivers will be at the NCWTS autograph session, which will take place under the OV Hill South Grandstands at 2:15 p.m. CT.

Battling for Points... With just five races remaining in the 2012 NCWTS season, Gale is currently ranked inside the top 15 in both the championship driver and owner point standings. Gale, who has scored five top-10 finishes this season, is ranked 13th in driver points and 15th in owner points. Currently second in the Rookie of the Year points, Gale is in hot pursuit of leader Ty Dillon.

From the Driver's Seat: Cale Gale Quotes...

On his expectations for Talladega Superspeedway: "The track at Talladega Superspeedway is wider than Daytona and the length is a little bit longer. There's more room for trucks to maneuver around and race side-by-side. The track surface is smooth-it's really just all about speed and drafting. The start finish line is pretty far down the tri-oval, which makes it a little different than most places when it comes to racing your line during qualifying and coming to the checkered flag. We ran really well in the Rheem Chevrolet at our other plate race in Daytona earlier this year, and I feel confident that we'll have another fast Silverado again this weekend."

On racing at home: "It's a lot of fun to be able to go home and race in Alabama. I was able to race in the ARCA race in Mobile, Ala. earlier this year and won the race. It was by far one of the coolest moments in my racing career. I have a lot of friends and family that will be in the grandstands cheering me on this weekend, and I'm looking forward to being able to give them a good show."

On Chasing the Cure with Rheem: "I'm really excited to be a part of the Rheem Chasing the Cure program this month. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women and also has occurrences in men, so clearly it's important to raise awareness about it. Fortunately, I'm in a position where I can join Rheem to turn our truck pink and embrace the Chasing the Cure program to help the cause. With so many people engaged in their own battle against breast cancer-including the friends and family members of our own ESR team-I'm very proud to be able to race the Rheem Chasing the Cure
Chevrolet."

From the Pit Box: Crew Chief Jerry Baxter Quotes...

On racing at Talladega: "We're looking forward to getting to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. Our Rheem Chevrolet was really strong in the last plate race and I feel like we'll be good again this weekend. We're taking the same chassis that we used in Daytona, but we had to replace the front clip and recondition the truck after the last race. We're meshing really well as a team and building momentum for our program, plus this is Cale's home track. As long as we can stay out of trouble, we definitely have high expectations for this weekend."
